About Me not Us
Actually its only me rather than we, till the date. I am a student of civil engineering in pulchowk campus. Web design is only my hobby. Initailly I used to create static html pages and used to modify it time to time. Later dynamic web designing, especially php, mysql fusion drag my attention and I statred learning php language essentials. Later I started workin in this project when I had vacation in my college for constitutional election 2008 in Nepal. While I was already thinking and doing something for this site ( creating forum as it would be great if I can create pc cum mobile forum), I encountered a wap site from my mobile operator with a forum in it. The number of users in the forum was increasing day by day. And I also devoted my time to that forum. Though I kept on working for this forum whenever I had spare time. And finally I did it. The forum script had very basic type of coding and less functional as I am not a professional. Starting from sign up page, I created login system, categoryview,subcategoryview, topiclist, topicview, profile, pm, password recovery, search, admin page etc etc and was basically sufficient for a mobi cum pc forum but soon I felt lack of lots of feature. It took quite a lot of time to create those scripts and I still need more and more to add. Later I felt why not to pick and use standard forum? Just get a light theme and use it!! Then I picked up most used forum script phpBB 3.x but oh no there was no such free style/modes for my purpose. Finally I started editing the phpBB theme to create the lightest theme ever made and the result is here. Note that you need to change the theme from cp to shresthakp mobile. Basically it is a chuncked down version of the style but I made few more changes such as adding quick reply form, pm in profile view and so forth. One thing I wasn't able to do was adding quick reply to pm in pm view page. Damn those were really hard to do.
I am thinking of publishing previous forum code, I wrote, under some free licensing system, lets see when will I do.
Don't be surprized, I didn't wrote anything about other category as my prilimilnary target was a forum, rest are just to make a site litter larger.
Who am I?
I am currently a fouth year (October, 2009) student of Pulchowk Engineering Campus, Pulchowk, Lalitpur, Nepal. May be you are thinking I am a computer or electronic engineering student, but no!!! I am a civil engineering student, you might have guessed that if you have checked the download section. Web is only my hobby. At the begining of my computer life, I had three options, either becoming a general pc user or web designing or programming and I choosed web designing.
